Questo tipo di elmo e’ la forma primitiva del Grande elmo che compare in Europa e consente una eccellente visione durante il combattimento.L’elmo non e’ dotato di sostegno interno in pelle,ma solo di cinghia dato che veniva indossato sopra ad un copricapo imbottito che lo assicurava alla testa.La ricostruzione e’ basata su iconografie della fine del 1100.
Acciaio, lavorato e rivettato a mano. Lastre di spessore 1,5 mm.

La ricostruzione di questo elmo e' basata su iconografie Fiamminghe del 1210.Questo tipo di Elmo e' stato rappresentato di recente anche nel film "Le crociate".Acciaio, lavorato e rivettato a mano.

Questo Elmo conico viene comunemente chiamato”Normanno” dato che divenne famoso con la conquista Normanna dell’Inghilterra.E’ comune nel XI sec. ma pare che sia stato usato anche fino al XIII secolo.In alcuni casi il nasale aveva una estensione orizzontale a protezione del viso ed in altri a protezione dal collo.L’esatta costruzione di questo modello di elmo,rimane comunque sconosciuta dato che nessun esemplare e’ arrivato fino a noi. Ne rimangono solo occasionali rappresentazioni.

This conical helmet has been called "Norman" because it was popular with the Norman Conquest of England.This helmet, used in XI th. century and may even have survived into the XIII th. century.In some cases nasal may hve been formed by extending the front vertical strip downward.The exact construction remains uncertains as no examples have survived.They may be seen occasionally in artistic representations.

Elmo della Bibbia di Maciejowsky.Croce in ottone e terminali a forma di fiore. Costruzione in acciaio Rivettato.Questo tipo di Elmo e’ stato ricostruito in base alle illustrazioni della Bibbia di Maciejowsky datata intorno al 1250. Non un esempio di elmo di questo genere e’ giunto fino ai giorni nostri.

These helmets are based from the Maciejowski Bible dates to approximately 1250.
The exact construction is uncertains as no examples have survived.

Questo tipo di elmo e’ forse uno dei piu’ belli per la sua semplicita’.La sua forma e’ una delle piu’ viste ed usate in Europa dell’ovest dal 1275 al 1375.La sua ricostruzione e’ basata su un tipo di elmo detto “ Elmo di Bolzano” (circa 1300),formato da cinque placche: corona,placche superiori fronte e retro, placche inferiori fronte e retro.
Acciaio rivettato. Spessore 1,5 mm.

This type of helm is a nice basic helm. It is typical of those found throughout western europe from about 1275 till about 1375. This is based of several helms c1300 (Bolzano trentino 1300 circa). Five piece construction: crown, upper front and rear, lower front and rear.
